Why revisit 9/11? It happened 24 years ago, and only 73 percent of today’s Americans were alive that day. Despite its age however, 9/11 remains hugely important. First, It was the biggest psyop ever, some 3,000 killed, many billions in property damage, with so many moving parts, much complexity and sophisticated tech.
Why use the term psyop? It fits if we look at Google’s definition:
“Psyop,” short for psychological operation, refers to a military or political strategy aimed at influencing the emotions, motives, reasoning, and behavior of a target audience, often using non-combative means. It involves shaping perceptions and attitudes to achieve specific objectives, which can include persuading an enemy to surrender, influencing public opinion, or building support for a cause…Psyops can target individuals, groups, organizations, or even entire populations…attempts to influence public opinion through manipulation or deception. Conspiracy theories sometimes use the term “psyop” to suggest that events or cultural phenomena are orchestrated by governments or other powerful entities.
The event we call 9/11 was about the length of a movie, as others have pointed out, nicely fitting American attention spans, and involved spectacular visuals in New York City, supplemented by lesser, related events at the Pentagon and in rural Shanksville Pennsylvania. Naturally Google could not resist introducing the term “conspiracy theories” in line with its alleged CIA origin, coined to discredit challenges to the official narrative and advance alternative explanations of events, with proponents bravely pointing out how misaligned the establishment story is with the facts.
Second, most people do not understand the complex crime, what exactly happened, how it was done, much less who likely did it. A good indicator is that only 7% of Americans believe in so-called 9/11 conspiracy theories, on a par with only 8% who believe in moon landing conspiracy theories. In both cases, 20% are not sure. Hence, we have plenty of work to do to spread the truth which evidence reveals about the events of 9/11.
Allow me to quote Dachsielady from her 2019 comment on a 9/11 article I had posted on my blog:
I noticed on 9-11-01 that none of my relatives and friends wanted to discuss this event – AT ALL! They wouldn’t have a bit of it. I found that amazing. They all had completely slammed the door on discussion of this event from the get-go. It was like they needed to wait for instructions or guidance from on high before they uttered any words about this event. Then they quickly picked up of [sic] the weapon words — conspiracy and conspiracy theorist, delivered in the most ridiculing smirking manner they could muster to cut off further discussion from those who would not shut up about it.
Third, this book is unique because it, as far as we know, is the first to turn AI loose on the issue of 9/11 to test whether or not it can improve our understanding of 9/11. Doing this isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. If you simply ask ChatGPT what really happened on 9/11 it will tell you what it’s been trained to say – as the American people have. And like many Americans, no amount of arguing is going to change ChatGPT’s mind. The innovation of this book is that John Herold found a way to sidestep ChatGPT’s 9/11 hypnosis, and use its analytical and communication prowess to critically examine and explain the events of that day from a variety of angles without getting lost in the official narrative.
Fourth, and most importantly, we must acknowledge the enormous continuing consequences of 9/11. The U.S. government went on a rampage post-9/11, planning to invade seven nations in five years according to retired U.S. General Wesley Clark, falling a little behind schedule but killing an estimated 4.5+ million people both directly and indirectly by 2022 according to the Watson Institute at Brown University, mostly in the Muslim world and at a fiscal cost in excess of $8 trillion. The worst people thrive, namely, the intellectual authors of 9/11, aka neocons. All in the absurd name of the “War on Terror.”
One consequence we can dismiss is justice, for there has been none. Since the perpetrators have gotten away with 9/11 itself and their subsequent wars of aggression, they and their successors in power over America’s foreign policy have little or no reason to mend their ways. It all traces back to the 1960s assassinations of JFK, MLK and RFK. Once those assassinations went “unsolved” and unprosecuted via cover ups, the corruption can only continue until the truth dam breaks open one glorious day.
On the other hand, recent media events suggest that truth about 9/11 will begin to emerge from the shadows. Tucker Carlson had Senator Ron Johnson (R, WI) on his show. He is Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations which includes “investigating all aspects of crime and lawlessness within the United States which have an impact on or affect the national health, welfare and safety.” The committee consists of five Republicans and four Democrats. Senator Johnson says there are many unanswered questions about what happened on 9/11, for example, building 7 free falling yet never being hit by an airliner. Perhaps he will schedule hearings to answer 9/11 questions? Or, TheDeenShowTV interviewed Kevin Barrett, an Unz Review columnist and long time activist on 9/11. So, pessimism need not envelop us. Perhaps Elias Davidsson was wrong in his lament that the fact that the academic, media and intellectual communities have shunned research on 9/11 points to the demise of the “Age of Reason.” Perish the thought. As Fyodor Dostoevsky said, ”To live without hope is to cease to live.”
